This is gonna have to be a short post. I got sick at a party last night and slept for three hours. The cake was good but my head is killing me and it's been hurting on and off today. I just slept for three hours and am going to eat soon.
Au revior ma petites.

Layering

I've watched tv all day and then I got ice cream (definitely try oatmeal cookie chunk).
Just like many of you, I have mixed feelings about Fall. I love the season and the holidays but going back to school is eh. I already know what I'm being for Halloween and can't wait to buy candy corn. I know many people prefer Summer to any other season but I love Spring and Fall best. They're unpredictable in terms of weather, but I think that makes it all the more fun to get dressed in the morning because you have to layer.
Layering is an everyday thing for many people because it makes life easier. You can be prepared for any weather that might happen. If you layer a few sweaters over a tank because it's cold when you wake up, you can just take a few off if it becomes hotter. Layering also allows you to add personality to boring outfits.
Layer a few necklaces and a scarf over a t-shirt and jeans and you get an outfit that's comfy and shows off your personality. Adding a sweater and belting it can show off your shape.
Adding a belt can often make an outfit. I've heard many people ask about belts and they're pretty uncomplicated if you know two things. Skinny belts look best with thin layers and thicker belts look best with baggy layers. Of course these rules are debatable and sometimes a thicker belt will look nice with thin layers, but when you are picking out a belt it helps if you can narrow down your choices through these rules.
Many magazines and other bloggers have talked about layering because it is fairly common, so I hope you can read what I've written and compare it to other sources.
Have fun! Mwah Mwah!!!!!!!

More cute pupies

(cute puppy Friday?)As you can tell I like dogs! Remember most of these dogs are adoptable at Thedailypuppy.com

Rediscovering

Has anyone ever loved a song/pair of shoes/etc. and then forgot about it? It happens to me a lot, I listen to a song constantly then move on. Lucky for me I often rediscover it. I love when it happens cause I remember the song well since I listened to it a lot. Despite that it feels new since I often listen to songs months after I discover them. Some ones Lately are-Hot in Here-Nelly, There's nothin-Sean Kingston, Luck-Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat, and Beverly Hills-Weezer
As for clothes, I try to go through my clothes several times a year but I still forget items. I keep my clothes in several places so it's hard. When I pack for camp I get to see all my clothes and discover what I wear more and what I don't wear at all. After camp Many of my shoes are ruined and I am forced to throw out some and buy more. It gives me a chance to try out new trends (like over the knee boots I can't find any of). I have around 65 sweaters so I try to rotate those more than other items.
I am constantly rereading my magazines. At the moment, I'm reading my four Septembers- Elle, Instyle, PeopleStylewatch, and Marie Claire( I have Lucky but I read it several times at camp) and reading My PeopleStylewatches. I am waiting to borrow Vogue from my aunt. Next I'll be reading my Elle's. I have several from other countries and the oldest is September '08.

Has Anyone ever rediscovered something important or not? Tell me your thoughts!

Just thought

As I'm waiting for my computer to load I'd share how I get my hair to do different things after I wash it. I always use four products almost immediately after I'm done with my shower. Two hairsprays, leave-in conditioner and an anti-frizz and shine serum. For a more in control style I use more hairspray 10 minutes later. Bi!

OMG Je Vieux!

I've wanted the Envy touch for like ever but I didn't know when my contract ended. I just found out it ended two months ago and I have enough money for the envy touch! If any of you readers want to warn about it or discourage my purchase tell me cause soon it will be mine!

Not much to say

Today was another blissfully relaxing days I've been enjoying so much of. A guy came over so now both the internet and tv are working. I'm reading a new book and fast. When I was younger I read several books at a time until the late hours (mostly on weeknights) and with my penchant for rereading books (some I've read 20 times) I don't read many new books that I'm crazy about.
Today I was so surprised to see fallen leaves all over my block. They didn't wait to change color they just fell. It's scary that fall is closing in. I'm going school shopping tomorrow which only makes it worse. I am excited but not totally happy.

So sorry I've been neglecting you poor blog.

I haven't been terribly busy but the internet has been down, either slow or not working at all. To get on with it, I just saw Julie and Julia. It was incredible, I heard the Julie parts weren't as good as the Julia parts but I thought it was good all around. It made me want to bake. I've decided to go gluten free again ( I did it once in fourth grade to decrease my eczema) for two months. Gluten is in bread and most starch products so baking could be a problem. I've heard there's gluten free flour so maybe I'll be fine. School is approaching and I still need a few things. I start later then other schools but I still dread it (though not as much as my brother). I must go, Au revior!

Sooo sorry I didn't post yesterday. My internet didn't work until an hour ago. I just watched the latest Royal Pains and seriously, it is totally worth finding a place to view all the episodes just so you can be blown away by that episode. Seriously, WATCH IT. In unfortunate news, I missed the premier of the new Project Runway series. Ugh! Gotta leave, Mwah!

Been...

...Catchin up on my Jon Stewart. Super funny!
At the moment I'm marveling at the fact that my dog comes when I call her name. Sweet accomplishment.
I finished my cookie's with a little trouble but they turned out great. All of them morphed into one but when I cut them some were crunchy and some were chewy but overall tasty. We can't finish them till tomorrow so I'll probably have to hide them (some people in this house have no self control). I love baking!
I got a mani-pedi today and it was wonderful! I'm friends with them and for my patience I got a free back rub and topcoat! It's a really friendly place and totally worth the walk in this weather. Check it out! It's on 101st and Broadway and it's called In and Out nails, Manhattan baby. The best Borough!
Au revior, my lovelies!
I don't know what you lovely readers do for summer but I spend a lot of it reading mags and staying home alone. I woke up and have been alone since then. I've gotta start planning things to do. otherwise I'll get bored. Central park mabes, babysitting, bike riding. I just finished Big Daddy (my fave Adam Sandler movie) which I hadn't seen in a while.
I didn't sleep a lot last night but got up early anyway and I'm not particularly hungry.
Gotta go turn up the air conditioner, Happy Summer!

catchin' up

Been making up the time spent at camp. watching shows, unpacking, buying nail polish and magazines. Truly, most of my money goes to magazines and nail polish. As it is September and I only read fashion mags I'm very busy. Today a close friend showed up with gifts from her stay in Italy. I got a fountain pen set and two tops so I'm over the moon at the moment.
Hope everyone's having a great Summer! Mwah!

Je vieux

Since I've come back from camp I'm thinking about everything I want now that I can buy stuff. I have some money and negotiation skills saved up. Some specifics I want are needed but all are awesome.
  • Buying coats is stressful. Especially if you want yours to last all of fall. I prefer pea coats for their variety ans stylish accents. Take this one from Delia's. I love gray and a cropped jacket in a light fabric is great for layering. It also looks great in black.
  • Though winter's approaching I still love my gladiators. These are mine. Perfect for walking, totally stylish and I'm going to wear mine to death since winter is close.
Many other things are racing through my mind...cropped harem pants...grommets...rompers...gray velvet dresses. The list is endless but if you type the phrases into ebay you might find something you like. Au revoir!

I'm Back!!!!!!!

Hello! Did you miss me? I had a wonderful time at camp this Summer though I dearly missed posting. I'll give you a thorough 'what happened' later (a lot happened!) after I'm settled! I love you all and am happy I'm back!
Kisses to you all!
