You know that feeling after hours in four inch heels? Solved with CitySlips! Basically, they're flats that conveniently fit into all bags but you're tiniest clutch. I heard about them on several blogs and want to try them out even if they won't give me enough support.
Winona of Daddy Likey is having the most fabulous give away and I just might spontaneously combust while waiting to see if I've won any of the prizes!
I have a major in-class history essay tomorrow and the unsatisfactory results on my last essay make so nervous! Sigh, Life (said while shaking fist and looking out the window).
Bye! mwah

Daylight savings!
November took me by surprise this year. I spent a lovely Halloween with my friends as a Roman goddess and ate lots of candy and then slept an extra hour. I loved that hour but I forgot how dark it gets now. I notice how much shorter the day is than it was before November.
I came out yesterday and noticed how crisp it was. It must be one of my favorite things about November. The crispness makes me feel stronger and more awake and like the whole world is clearer (the last could be from my lack of good vision and the rain in the air throughout October). Plus in November, you start layering! which is awesome and lets me wear more sweaters (sweaters are definitely my weakness. No sweater is thrown out until the amount of holes is too great to be fixed).
Another reason I love November is that's when I deem it appropriate to go down to Rockefeller center to ice skate and eat
at La Maison du Chocolat. I put on a short skirt and tights and show off the lessons I took. I actually think skates look really cool. Tomorrow is my first trip this year and I'm practically dying to go.
Have a fun time finishing your Halloween candy and good night!

Been...
...Catchin up on my Jon Stewart. Super funny!
At the moment I'm marveling at the fact that my dog comes when I call her name. Sweet accomplishment.
I finished my cookie's with a little trouble but they turned out great. All of them morphed into one but when I cut them some were crunchy and some were chewy but overall tasty. We can't finish them till tomorrow so I'll probably have to hide them (some people in this house have no self control). I love baking!
I got a mani-pedi today and it was wonderful! I'm friends with them and for my patience I got a free back rub and topcoat! It's a really friendly place and totally worth the walk in this weather. Check it out! It's on 101st and Broadway and it's called In and Out nails, Manhattan baby. The best Borough!
Au revior, my lovelies!

So sorry my lovelies!
I've been busy lately and haven't told of my last few days! For fathers day I went to my step dads parents house in the blouse my babysitter got me. C'est tres fun! Yesterday I went for lunch and birthday shopping with my aunt. We went to city bakery which was absolutely wonderful and then got her beautiful puppy so he could shop with us. At the bakery we discovered I should lay off the chocolate because of a rash. We went to Steve Madden and Oh My god you must check out the sale! Buy one get one 90% off! I payed for a pair of flats and she payed for some sandals (for me). We went to Zara which had loads of awesome clothes! I bought two dresses which I am in love with.
Sorry about my lack of fashion in movies posts. I don't think they'll start up again because this is a busy week. "I" haven't started packing yet so my ma's gonna take a day of this week to start. I have started counting my clothes. So far, 61 tops and 13 dresses. Camp is in 5 days and I cannot wait though I will miss all of you darling readers.
At the moment I am incredibly upset at myself. Though I haven't looked yet I can't find my camera charger. Really if I can't find it soon I will kill myself.
Goodbye, dearest readers.

Got a bit(/a lot) of random thing so I'm gonna go with bullet points!
- I should probably explain about camp so you don't think I've deserted you when I leave. I'm leaving June 28 for a seven week camp in Massachusetts. Although it's awesome (fourth year!) it doesn't have computer access for campers. So I won't be able to use a computer 'till august.
- While I'm at camp somebody will be painting my room! I saw a picture of a green room and immediately wanted a green room! I read the feng shui of green because that's important to me and found out that it's calming and associated with wood. It's also associated with growth and healing so I told my ma and went to find color samples at Benjamen Moore. Now I just have to choose between four colors.
- Going back to Tuesday I forgot to tell about the pot that fell on my head. I was emptying the dishwasher and putting a lid under the pots. The lid lifted the pot and it fell onto my head. It hurt and now there's a dent on the pot and a bump at my hairline.
- Last night I sat down in front of the TV and watched my two shows! They didn't disappoint!
- Remember yesterday when I saw Grease? Well I just got it from netflix. Oops.
- Just did my thank you notes with stationary from my Grandma while watching I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! That's my brother fave show and I gotta admit it's decent. Last night I got an awesome Sigg bottle from my cousin that I already love.
- While on the subject of bday gifts I am dying to make one of the recipes from the desert cookbook I got. Maybe the chocolate brownie roulades or the deep chocolate cheesecake or the chocolate butterfly cakes. Mm I can almost smell them. As you can probably tell the chocolate ones appeal to me the most.

"Please just hear me out."*
Today I baked two types of the cupcakes for MY BIRTHDAY. I also bought Marie Claire because lately I haven't been able to go long without reading a magazine. In the afternoon we went with friends to Orchard Beach to collect crabs and other sea stuff. I was pretty squeamish but D got two really big ones, one missing a claw. We named those two Alien (1 claw) and Predator because they were fighting. We tried to get them fight but Alien jumped out of the bowl and another one did too so we put them away. I like Predator best.
Last night I watched Happy Texas with my Ma and friends. It was sooo good! For those of you who don't know it it's about 2 prison escapees who are mistaken for a gay couple helping out with the local pageant. A totally hilarious movie, just wonderful. The first line was a joke!
Well, Bye!
* See My Side-Jordan Sparks. Been listening to that song on repeat.

Shoppin
Went shoppin at the Gap for summer stuff. It was fun, at our first trip to the dressing room I tried on some bathing suits and tanks which were nice but I only got one bathing suits 'cuz I'm picky. After that my mom and her friend looked in the mens section for the boys (her husband, my moms boyfriend, and my brother) while I rounded up an amount of clothing almost bigger than me. I tried all of it on and ended up having to wait for two items to go on sale. Checking out was long and complicated but the people there were very nice. Right now I'm snuggled up in a new sweater listening to Britney and Lady GaGa.
Bye!
(P.s. my bday in 15 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Hurray for the Weekend!!
I went biking today and the park is beautiful! I went the farthest I've ever gone. Unfortunately, I wiped out in my new white shorts right by a puddle. I should've known not to wear them, I almost always wipe out. On the way back I saw an old friend from my camp. I could tell it was her right away but when I finally got ahead so she could see my face I could tell she was unsure if she should say hi so I smiled and passed her.
Today's been sorta hectic since tomorrows mothers day. First of all I need to find the gift I bought for my ma and I need to finish her card and earlier I made her biscotti, one of the hardest things I've made. I guess I need to go finish mothers day prep. Goodbye and have fun on mothers day!

the beach!
Doesn't Grace look lovely? As Summer approaches I'm dying to go to the beach and sunbathe in a 1940s style( say this one) for a few hours. (The pic is via flicker, the photo is of Grace Kelly in the remake of The Philadelphia Story; High Society)

It's a beautiful day!
Today i went out for lunch to Oyster Bar Restaurant in grand central station. It was wonderful! The oysters were amazing and the cheesecake was creamy and filling. After that we took the train but since the subways were messed up so we had to walk through central park. It's beautiful right now! All the flowers are blooming and birds are everywhere!
Au revoir, mon amies!

beard papas
I just got back from Beard Papas. Its one of the best desert places in the city. A Japanese place they have delicious cream puffs, mochi, and my fav, fondant au chocolat. If you ask them to heat it up they take it out and sprinkle chocolate on it and when you eat it the chocolate slowly flows out! Also they don't cost a lot! Here's one of their creations
