Sorry about the random posting but i feel that it's going to be like this for a while more. I'm still trying to figure out how much work I need to do to get the grades I got last year. But I have so much to say!
First off, makeup. I know many people who are concerned with the chemicals in the products they wear. This is totally reasonable (who wants to buy something bad for you?) but good products that aren't filled with chemicals are hard to find. I have a certain standard for my products chemically but with mascara and lip gloss these go out the window. I want my lip gloss to be slightly tinted, and normally VERY shiny. This doesn't happen in the natural products I've found. Also with mascara, I want big, dark, glossy, separated and full lashes. Same problem as lip gloss but I'm almost there with my eyelashes. I have a natural lash builder that I layer under my mascara so I don't have to put tons on. This isn't perfect but I'm interested in you, Are you more interested in results, or the label in the back?
Secondly, since it's awards season, I want to talk about dresses. Though there hasn't been too many this year I'd like to speak about the strapless fishtail dress. I feel there is so much bias against this and I don't like it. Yes, a l0t of the time it's boring and bland but the people showing us these dresses have a bias before seeing the dress. I mean, everyone remembers the line of boring dresses last year but how many remember Anne Hathaway's Armani sequin dress? A lot I hope. So don't bash the strapless fishtail dress!
Lastly, and shortly, I made crepes last night and they're sooo fun! Everyone should make them because after the third time it's easy and fun and with a little powder sugar delicious!

Halloween!

5 tips for making Halloween week awesome.
My Halloween info:

• Take a friend when shopping for a costume or even funner, bring your friend over and make something out of things you already have.
• Have fun with your costume but don't wear something too constricting or complicated; you want to be able to run around.
• No what candies you love, that way if you don't get any candy you like you can buy some for yourself:)
• Decorate! Carve a pumpkin! Wrap scarves around masks! Put spiders around the floor! Change to black bulbs!
• Bake! Make something with chocolate and candy worms! You won't regret it.

Thank God It's Friday!
I mean it! I've had such a busy week, baking, and taking tests and prepping for Halloween, and watching all my shows!
For Halloween I've decided to be an Egyptian/Roman/Greek! The makeup is beyond fun and I can't wait to buy a dress!
Along with all of my shows I've started 2 new ones! Gossip girl and The Vampire Diaries! They're both incredible and I totally recommend netflixing/watching them!
For a new club chic Bar mitzvah I'm thinking of purchasing another dress! Forever 21 Has some great ones like this:

Hope everyone had a lovely Rosh Hashana! I made a chocolate cake (gluten free of course) and went over Sunday to one of my aunts house.
Today is the last day of Summer! I can't believe all that Ice cream, those camp friends, those days of doing nothing for weeks at a time are over! Instead I get Ice skating, school, more holidays, Halloween. Hope your as excited for Halloween as I am (okay, not possible;))! I'm having a party and am in the midst of planning right now. Please don't laugh, I'm choosing between a Mafia wife, Faery and Barbie at the moment in terms of costume. Leave a comment telling which you prefer.

Yay!!!!!

Today has been A a very happy day for me. I woke up late because of last night and relaxed.
Last night was very fun but very sugary. Cake, Dulce de leche, ice cream, chocolate fountain, candy bars for party favors. I'm going to get fat eating all this sugar:) The drinks were incredible too, I had A Shirley temple, virgin pina colada, and a virgin mojito(the best). Overall a very fun party.
Today I went to get ingredients for the gluten free cupcakes I made(more later) and found something that made my day. Betty Crocker now has Gluten free mixes!!!!!!! Totally incredibly happy making!
The cupcakes I made came out nice but when I put the second batch in I burned my finger. It's hard typing with mainly my left. Happy Sunday!( First day of school tomorrow!)

I Baked!

I finally baked with gluten free flour! I might have forgotten to say but I'm going gluten free for two months starting the 23 of last month. It was hard at first but it's getting easier.
Most people start school tomorrow or the day after but I will be blissfully enjoying home. I have orientation Thursday and start school a week from today. An advantage of my school is how early we end and how late we start. I still have to get school supplies but after that I can ignore it. Some people view school as torture and some love it, I've never has strong feelings either way but it gets repetitive after a bit. My brother on the hand loathes school.
I've been watching a lot of YouTube makeup tutorials and after watching Blair aka Juicystar07's room tour I finally understood Rachel Zoe's term. While watching I repeatedly thought to myself, "I die". Seriously, I didn't get the term till then. After watching these makeup tutorials I find myself needing more makeup so I will be making a list of makeup to buy before school. Last year I had an hour to get ready and never had time to put any thought into my makeup so this year I will plan my outfit the night before so I will have time to plan. I'm proud of myself for making a school resolution I can keep because I usually make good ones that are relatively unachievable for me (another one is to add a piece of jewelery to each outfit). But that's still a week away.

So sorry I've been neglecting you poor blog.

I haven't been terribly busy but the internet has been down, either slow or not working at all. To get on with it, I just saw Julie and Julia. It was incredible, I heard the Julie parts weren't as good as the Julia parts but I thought it was good all around. It made me want to bake. I've decided to go gluten free again ( I did it once in fourth grade to decrease my eczema) for two months. Gluten is in bread and most starch products so baking could be a problem. I've heard there's gluten free flour so maybe I'll be fine. School is approaching and I still need a few things. I start later then other schools but I still dread it (though not as much as my brother). I must go, Au revior!

At the moment I'm marveling at the fact that my dog comes when I call her name. Sweet accomplishment.
I finished my cookie's with a little trouble but they turned out great. All of them morphed into one but when I cut them some were crunchy and some were chewy but overall tasty. We can't finish them till tomorrow so I'll probably have to hide them (some people in this house have no self control). I love baking!
I got a mani-pedi today and it was wonderful! I'm friends with them and for my patience I got a free back rub and topcoat! It's a really friendly place and totally worth the walk in this weather. Check it out! It's on 101st and Broadway and it's called In and Out nails, Manhattan baby. The best Borough!

What I'm lovin before camp.

I'm going to spill what I'm lovin lately as I can't get anything till, like August.

• Firstly, I love that I made the cheesecake(1 more hour and we can eat it) but on to clothes and stuff.
• I'm lovin bold prints for dresses, they look awesome! You can show so much personality by the pattern and cut. Plus, you'll stand out!
• Florals are another thing I can't get enough of. Floral jewelery, dresses, boots, and more jewelery.

• Cool tees with look at me sayings are sooo supposed to be mine so if you have one it's technically mine.

• Unconventional denim is also an awesome. Unexpected but goes with many things.

• Lastly, polka polka dots and lace are sweet and looking at the makes my day!

Mmmmm, Lovely

Woke up and got dressed at 9 today. Hallelujah! I immediately went to the hairdresser to get my hair done. Nobody else was there(duh, it's a rainy Friday morning) so it was nice and quiet. The rollers weren't as bad as usual. It looks beautiful and is so long. Unfortunately the humidity when I walked home frizzed the ends of my hair. I guess I'll just hot iron the ends soon.
Later this afternoon I'm going to make chocolate cheesecake. I am so excited but I'm tempted to chicken out cuz I'm not totally confident with making cheesecake. Can wait to make it!

Lots of different stuff

I had the worst night of sleep last night! My brother was being annoying so I slept on the couch with my dog. Whatev, at least the pins in my hair held(my hair still looks nice).
After a refreshing shower and my hair was soft and it's curls loose and distinctive, I was posed with the decision to put on pj's or not. I decided to put on one of my new dresses that I wore last night while watching tv late at night. It has a very light fabric and a green and purple liberty print. Right now I am sooo in love with it. So in love that I will not take off the tags till I wear it to camp Sunday.
I've decided to straighten my hair Friday so all my camp peeps can bask in the glory of my long shiny straight hair. Thank goodness I've forgotten the torture of last time or else I wouldn't be able to go. The heat really is excruciating so my friends had better appreciate it.;) The salon really is the only way to go with curly and frizzy hair like mine.
I had an appliance put in my mouth called a Nance last year. I don't know what it was doing but it was on the roof of my mouth and I grew accustomed to it. Well yesterday I went to the orthodentist and they took it out. It's a bit raw and sorta weird but I'm happy because I'm now a few steps closer to perfect teeth.
I redid my nails because with my new shoes my nails looked horrifying and decided to try out the rhinestones my friend gave me. Two of them fell off on a hand so I fixed the other hand and they're nice. They lasted through the night which is cool.
Friday, along with my hair I've decided to finally make the chocolate cheesecake I've been wanting to make. It takes a few hours of waiting but it sounds sooo good!

Various occurrences

I just finished the first spider man movie. I didn't remember anything so it was awesome watching it. Sooo recommend watching it. I'm a huge sucker for superhero movies. My fave is batman;). I think I'm gonna have ta skip baking again today, maybe tomorrow...or after that.
My grandma came over with gifts and took us out to brunch. I got 7 cds and a new camera to replace the other one. Those are the gifts prominent in my mind. I'm listening to all the cds and putting them in my ipod right now but soon I'm gonna have to stop so I can clean. It'll be hard though. I can't be the only one who thinks Jesse McCartney is hot and makes good music though, right? Last birthday my grandma gave me a camera and I loved it to death but couldn't hold onto it well. After she gave me a case the injuries decreased but when I went to winter camp the unthinkable happened. I let the only one there I trusted (besides the friend I went there with) hold it and when I came back it wouldn't turn on. My grandma took it to the shop and was told it had been dropped on it's lens. Instead of paying the hefty price to repair it she bought me a new one. I promise I will not drop it, lose it, or mistreat it. I will also keep it in it's case and register it online. On to using up the 500 spots for photos!!!!!!

Shoulda been unbearably 90 degrees.

Don't get me wrong, I love rain, but all of this rain in June. It should be hot, I should be dying for a pool and ice cream to cool off. Not that the weather is stopping me from wearing what I want. I never let the weather influence me too much. That earns me many odd looks in Winter. I wear minis without tights in winter and rain. In sixty degrees you can see me in a light sweater and short shorts. Today I wore a leather jacket, maroon short shorts, my heels, and a light tank.
I went to the gap and bought 2 tanks to finish my rainbow of tanks. Probably a bit excessive but I'm happier knowing I have a light pink, hot pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple tank along with my neutral tanks.
I just got obsessed with a new song! That means I listen to it on repeat for a few hours and most likely buy it on itunes. The song is The Enemy by The White Tie Affair. I'm listening to it now and love love love it!
Was supposed to bake today but I have a new plan! Wednesday I'll make dinner and desert! For desert, Chocolate cheesecake! I'll have to find something for dinner.

Got a bit(/a lot) of random thing so I'm gonna go with bullet points!

• I should probably explain about camp so you don't think I've deserted you when I leave. I'm leaving June 28 for a seven week camp in Massachusetts. Although it's awesome (fourth year!) it doesn't have computer access for campers. So I won't be able to use a computer 'till august.

• While I'm at camp somebody will be painting my room! I saw a picture of a green room and immediately wanted a green room! I read the feng shui of green because that's important to me and found out that it's calming and associated with wood. It's also associated with growth and healing so I told my ma and went to find color samples at Benjamen Moore. Now I just have to choose between four colors.
  
• Going back to Tuesday I forgot to tell about the pot that fell on my head. I was emptying the dishwasher and putting a lid under the pots. The lid lifted the pot and it fell onto my head. It hurt and now there's a dent on the pot and a bump at my hairline.
• Last night I sat down in front of the TV and watched my two shows! They didn't disappoint!
• Remember yesterday when I saw Grease? Well I just got it from netflix. Oops.
  
• Just did my thank you notes with stationary from my Grandma while watching I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! That's my brother fave show and I gotta admit it's decent. Last night I got an awesome Sigg bottle from my cousin that I already love.
• While on the subject of bday gifts I am dying to make one of the recipes from the desert cookbook I got. Maybe the chocolate brownie roulades or the deep chocolate cheesecake or the chocolate butterfly cakes. Mm I can almost smell them. As you can probably tell the chocolate ones appeal to me the most.

Today I baked two types of the cupcakes for MY BIRTHDAY. I also bought Marie Claire because lately I haven't been able to go long without reading a magazine. In the afternoon we went with friends to Orchard Beach to collect crabs and other sea stuff. I was pretty squeamish but D got two really big ones, one missing a claw. We named those two Alien (1 claw) and Predator because they were fighting. We tried to get them fight but Alien jumped out of the bowl and another one did too so we put them away. I like Predator best.
Last night I watched Happy Texas with my Ma and friends. It was sooo good! For those of you who don't know it it's about 2 prison escapees who are mistaken for a gay couple helping out with the local pageant. A totally hilarious movie, just wonderful. The first line was a joke!

I've been watching some songs from musicals lately and its really fun. I'm an enthusiastic fan of musicals. Maybe part of it is that I love the costumes and love memorizing the songs;). I've seen many and love love love them. To name some of my favs, West Side Story, Wicked and Grease.

Today I went with D to his friends house so he could play with his friend and I could babysit his friends little sister. She's very cut and filled with energy. The party last night wasn't great but it was pretty fun. After that I went to see Land of the Lost with a friend (+their mom). It was great but all of that left me super sore this morning. So although babysitting was fun I ache Even more and all I can do right now is not clean or not do anything athletic;).

Tomorrow I start the baking process for MY BIRTHDAY PARTY. Wonder which 2 flavors cupcake I'll start with. Gotta do chocolate with my former babysitter, current friend ( who loves chocolate) so tomorrow I think I'll go with red velvet and vanilla.
Gotta find a better red velvet recipe then my current one though. Right now I'm listening to the songs I chose for my playlist and it's pretty fun but will take a while (I have 140 songs). The artists range from Shakira to the Beatles to Ashley Tisdale to Fall Out Boy :).

Baking etc.

Today I mad chocolate+butterscotch chip cookies and just made sandwiches for our outing to the Thimble Islands. Very fun though our oven mitts are dying. My moms says it will rain in Connecticut but I don't believe her. It's truly summer now! I've considered it Summer since Monday but the last few air-conditioned days prove it. Got a pedicure and gave myself a manicure so I'm feelin properly spoiled. Found this beautiful dress on modcloth for 114.99. *sigh* In my dreams. Been lovin polka dots and the silhouette of this dress is perfect.
