Hair
I have total (almost) all consuming envy of this girls hair. I love the color purple and she looks so good with her hair that color. She's often featured on DropSnap (which I love for all the funky Japanese street fashion pics). My mom's not totally into that so I'll have to wait till summer for camp. The only prob;em is that my Curly dark brown hair takes a lot of bleach for colors to show. I had blue without bleach and it was almost unnoticeable.
My favorite color is blue but I doubted it's wearability as a hair color until I saw Mademoiselle Yulia:
She rocks it beyond belief and inspires tons of envy.
Hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving and happy weekend!

I'm a mess
I love this picture of Chloe Sevigny. I got it from Go Fug Yourself, the blog tracking celeb style and as Jessica puts it, "The Sev looks like she's starring in a movie in which she's pluckily investigating a murder and is being chased through a library by the dude we're all supposed to think is the murderer, but who is secretly an undercover cop/Chloe's soulmate. Who is only chasing her because he wants to tell her SHE TOTALLY FORGOT TO BUTTON HER SHIRT."
Though Its unbuttoned and certainly old lady-ish I like it. The skirt detailing is awesome and the color scheme is one I wish I could wear everyday (Pink and Purple without looking like a 6 year old girl's pink themed birthday party). She often looks wacky but this makes me love her.
Bye lovies!!!
P.S. Check out the new Instyle! J'adore!

This is a quickie
I was trying to get ready quickly this morning (afternoon) and I banged my eyebrow into the edge of a door. I knew getting dressed slowly was a good idea and now that I bruised myself I'm going to get dressed even slower. I might have to get up earlier but who cares when my safety is at stake;) I just hope it doesn't swell.
Bye lovelies! (P.S. watch Glee!)

Today...sorta
I was sore! And by sore I mean sore on my quads, inside of my elbows and my lower legs. Ugh..basketball tryouts.
I went to the Teen nick offices and Sephora. During the first we (my brother and I) became the teen advisory council. They wanted someone real to talk to and who's more real then me! At Sephora I got my moms birthday lip gloss and and a crazy clear-ish, sparkly eyeliner I love! I love Sephora with all my heart.
On Luinae's blog More Magic Always she mentioned the Myers Briggs personality test. It sounded very interesting so I went and took it. My outcome was ESFP. I didn't find what it stood for but I did find my description which was pretty accurate and very flattering;) In the sites words:
Performers have the special ability, even among the Artisans, to delight those around them with their warmth, their good humor, and with their often extraordinary skills in music, comedy, and drama. Whether on the job, with friends, or with their families, Performers are exciting and full of fun, and their great social interest lies in stimulating those around them to take a break from work and worry, to lighten up and enjoy life.
Performers are plentiful, something over ten percent of the population, and this is fortunate, because they bring pleasure to so many of us. Performers are the people for whom it can truly be said "all the world's a stage." Born entertainers, they love the excitement of playing to an audience, and will quickly become the center of attention wherever they are. Performers aren't comfortable being alone, and seek the company of others whenever possible-which they usually find, for they make . wonderful playmates. Performers are smooth, talkative, and witty; they always seem to know the latest jokes and stories, and are quick with wisecracks and wordplay-nothing is so serious or sacred that it can't be made fun of. Performers also like to live in the fast lane, and seem up on the latest fashions of dress, food, drink, and music. Lively and uninhibited, Performers are the life of the party, always trying to create in those around them a mood of eat, drink, and be merry.
I am certainly comfortable alone but othewise it is pretty accurate. you can choose yourself if you think it is accurate but you should definitely take the test. Goodbye, Mwah!November 8, 2009
Luck
Not much else has gone on except me trying to get rid of all my candy without eating it all myself. I mean, there's only so much one person can have.
Goodbye!

Tons
In other news I started watching Mad Men. It had been on my netflix but I couldn't wait so I started it last night. It's great and I am dying to watch more when I have less to do. I also saw the latest episode of The Vampire Diaries last night and it was incredible. I can't wait for the next one.
While I'm putting off my homework I thought I'd show some things on my Gift list.
I'll pick one from each section.
- The legally blonde soundtrack, I'm completely obsessed.
- The Ultimate Blockbuster from Sephora. So much makeup!
- Delia's Tees like this:
and
- A subscription to Elle
Au revoir, the guilt of not doing my homework is setting in.

Today I felt like an idiot
I know today's not one of the days I promised to post but I'm making up for the days I missed.
Since It's troubled me for a while I thought I tackle all the mystery about dress codes for parties.
For casual, you can probably wear jeans but make sure you know what type of person is hosting the party. Others idea of casual could differ with yours. Always keep one peice special though. A top like this could easily be dressed up or down. A pencil skirt or jeans are easy choices.
Festive, club and cocktail wear are more dressed up and you can be very fun and outgoing with what you wear (unless of course the host is very conservative). Mini's are also appropriate. I would go with a dress but you could easily wear a skirt. If the event is specified as cocktail I would go with something a bit longer like this:
This one looks better on and the seaming is beautiful.
For black tie optional go for longer dresses in special fabrics and not tons of skin. this one comes in tons of colors and the cut is perfect.
Black tie should be something very special.
If you wear vintage you can be sure no one else will be wearing what you are. You can be unique and very pretty in such a dress and if you know where to look they can be cheaper than current dresses. This one is so special I feel lucky just looking at it.

Daylight savings!
I came out yesterday and noticed how crisp it was. It must be one of my favorite things about November. The crispness makes me feel stronger and more awake and like the whole world is clearer (the last could be from my lack of good vision and the rain in the air throughout October). Plus in November, you start layering! which is awesome and lets me wear more sweaters (sweaters are definitely my weakness. No sweater is thrown out until the amount of holes is too great to be fixed).
Another reason I love November is that's when I deem it appropriate to go down to Rockefeller center to ice skate and eat at La Maison du Chocolat. I put on a short skirt and tights and show off the lessons I took. I actually think skates look really cool. Tomorrow is my first trip this year and I'm practically dying to go.
Have a fun time finishing your Halloween candy and good night!
